Arkansas wins funds for school-tests effort
The U.S. Department of Education awarded a group of 25 states - including Arkansas - plus Washington, D.C., a $170 million grant to develop common standardized tests to be implemented by the 2014-15 school year, Secretary Arne Duncan announced Thursday.
